“DISCOVER” is the title of ZUCCHERO’s new album, out on NOVEMBER 19th (Polydor/Universal Music), and available from today for pre-order and pre-save at the following link: https://pld.lnk.to/DiscoverEM
“DISCOVER” is the first covers album of Zucchero’s career, a project in which he has stripped down and rearranged a selection of iconic songs by Italian and international artists in his own inimitable style. The first song to be released for radio airplay will be “Follow You Follow Me”, a captivating version of one of Genesis’ first ever worldwide hits, on Friday October 22nd.
“DISCOVER” combines Zucchero’s two main musical influences: the best of the Italian melodic tradition, and the deepest Afro-American roots. There are also exquisite collaborations with BONO in “Canta la Vita”, ELISA in “Luce (Tramonti a Nord Est)”, and MAHMOOD in “Natural Blues”, a new take on Moby’s version of Vera Hall’s “Trouble So hard”. The album also features an intense and emotional version of “Ho Visto Nina Volare”, in which Zucchero engages in a virtual duet with FABRIZIO DE ANDRÉ.
The standard version of “DISCOVER”, containing 13 tracks, will be released on CD, double album and digital formats. Exclusively for @Amazon there will also be an autographed version of the CD and an autographed version of the black vinyl double album. In exclusive for @DiscotecaLaziale there will also be a sky-blue vinyl double album.
A box set version will also be released, sold exclusively on @UniversalMusic’s official website and only available in physical formats. It will feature 1 CD containing the 13 tracks from the standard version as well as 5 bonus tracks, 1 white vinyl double album and 1 special 10” sky-blue vinyl containing the 5 bonus tracks.
