In France, release of the third chapter of the world famous series “Les Bronzés 3”. One week after publication the film has been seen by 10 million people marking its unquestionable success. The leading song of the soundtrack is “Baila Morena”, whose version sung with Manà immediately soars to the top of the French charts.

Italian President Carlo Azeglio Ciampi confers on Zucchero the sign of honour of “Commendatore”.

On sale in all Italian record shops Francesco De Gregori’s collection called TRA UN MANIFESTO E LO SPECCHIO featuring among the others a version of Diamante sung by the roman musician

The single “Bacco Perbacco” is chosen for the promotion of the new album.

The new cd “FLY come possiamo volare con le aquile se siamo contornati da tacchini…”, (“how can we fly with the eagles if we’re surrounded by turkeys…”) is published in Italy, Europe and in the rest of the world, rushing straight to nr. 1 and stays there for various weeks. The record, produced together with Dan Was, is presented to the Italian and international media within the frame of a charming Venice setting. The performing musicians are: Zucchero, Randy Jackson, Matt Chamberlain, Lenny Castro, Krish Sharma, Jamie Muhoberac, Brian Auger, Robyx, Mino Vergnaghi, Sara Grimaldi, Irene Fornaciari, Arthur Miles, Chance, Waddy Wachtel, Pino Palladino, Amir Questlove Thompson, Greig Leisz, Tim Pierce, Matt Chamberlain, Davey Farragher, Kenny Aronoff, Jim Keltner, Paul Bushnell, Michael Landau, Max Marcolini, Patrick Warren, Robyx, Accademia Musicale Di Firenze – Scandicci. Release of the second promotional single “Occhi”.

Sam Moore’s OVERNIGHT SENSATIONAL is published all around the world. Here Zucchero duets in “You Are So Beautiful” with the legendary soul man accompanied by Billy Preston (Hammond organ), Eric Clapton (guitar) and Robert Randolph (pedal steel).

Publication of a book where Massimo Cotto has collected the interviews given by Zucchero to the press from the beginning of his career up to date, called “Incontri con il diavolo e l’acqua santa” (“Encounters with the devil and the holy water”) approved by Zucchero, who has asked that this sentence of his be published on the book’s cover: “These entrails of heart and soul put together in the book must be handled with care! This splattered heart “is fragile”’.

The second promotional single by Irene Fornaciari is released “Io non abito più qua”, among the authors, Zucchero.

Release of Laura Pausini’s new record in which the singer performs “Come il sole all’improvviso” with Johnny Halliday, the song is presented also in Spanish and is called “Come El Sol Inesperado” and is sung by the Italian singer alone.

The Italian version of “Come il sole all’improvviso” interpreted by Laura Pausini alone is used as soundtrack of the movie “Salvatore – Questa è la mia vita”, first Italian movie labelled Disney by the beginner Giampaolo Cugno.

The version of “You Are So Beautiful” included in Sam Moore’s new record is nominated for the 49° Grammy Award in the “Traditional R & B Vocal” section.

Release of a best record by Elisa, containing the 2001 San Remo winning track, “Luce –tramonti a nord est” whose lyrics had been written by Zucchero.

Publication of the new promotional single “E’ delicato”.

Zucchero is awarded the platinum Telegatto by the magazine SORRISI E CANZONI for his merit in promoting Italian music abroad.

The dvd “WE ARE THE FUTURE” of the 2004 concert organized by Quincy Jones at the Roman Circo Massimo is published, Zucchero sings “Everybody’s got to learn sometimes” and “Baila Morena” with Fher of Manà.

He is involved in the presentation of Irene Fornaciari’s record “VERTIGINI IN FIORE” of which he is arranger and author of some tracks.

He appears on stage for the great concert for the European Union’s 50 years celebration.

Starting from the Parisian Olympia with two sold-out concerts – the FLY WORLD TOUR 2007 is saluted by both Italian and international media. The band accompanying Zucchero includes: Polo Jones (bass), David Sancious (keyboards and guitar), Kat Dyson (guitar and vocals), Mario Schilirò (guitar), Adriano Molinari (drums) and Sara Grimaldi (vocals).

The American tv network WOIW21 of New York Public Television, broadcasts for the first time in pre-release the concert-event of 2004 “ZU& Co.” where Zucchero appears on stage at prestigious Royal Albert Hall, together with a variety of guests.

He is offered a prize by Giancarlo Giannini within the Wind Music Award in Rome.

At the Parc Des Eau Vives of Geneve he takes a 40000 people public by surprise by singing in celebration of Alinghi’s victory of the America’s Cup.

Release of the promotional single, the fourth from the album FLY, called “Un Kilo” which becomes the hit of the summer.

End of the first leg of the FLY WORLD TOUR 2007 starring Zucchero in 60 European and Italian cities where he sells out nearly everywhere.

The European Tour takes off again from Kiev.

Great event at the Verona Arena: three consecutive nights sold out, he’s the first Italian or international artist selling out for three nights on end at the Arena. The artist’s band is complemented with a brass section including Giuseppe Caruso (trombone), Massimo Greco (trumpet), Eric Daniel and James Thompson (sax).

After a “warm up” concert in Boston, Zucchero debuts in his American tour at New York’s Carnegie Hall, going ahead in Canada and Latin America. The band’s composition is slightly changed by the leaving of Sara Grimaldi.

He’s back in Italy and Europe in November and December for the last leg of the 2007 tour. As always, the band includes: Polo Jones (bass), David Sancious (keyboards and guitar), Kat Dyson (guitar and vocals), Mario Schilirò (guitar), Adriano Molinari (battery) and Sara Grimaldi (vocals).

The double cd ALL THE BEST is presented in Rome through a press conference. It represents a collection of the artist’s main successes, with the addition of some covers and unpublished tracks. The record is published all around the world, but with slightly modified tracklists. At the same time, also the dvd ALL THE BEST VIDEO COLLECTION is released.
